Sustainability Statement 🌱
At Hanna Creative Studio, sustainability is woven into every piece of art I create.
My passion for protecting the environment is innate, and I am deeply committed to the preservation of Papatūānuku (Mother Earth). The Māori concept of kaitiakitanga (guardianship of the natural world) deeply resonates with me as a citizen of Aotearoa. In referencing it, my intention is to honour its te ao Māori origins and pay respect to the values of guardianship it represents.
While it’s impossible to have zero footprint, I tread carefully by using purposefully chosen materials and prioritising recycled, repurposed, or sustainably sourced options wherever possible. My prints are produced and shipped in carefully planned batches to reduce waste. I continuously seek opportunities to minimise waste and lessen ecological impact, including staying informed about sustainability practices within my upstream supply chain.
Art should last, not end up in landfill. That’s why I design and produce with durability and timelessness in mind. By supporting my work, you’re investing in creativity that respects Papatūānuku.
